Full Lace Wigs or Lace Front Wigs?
Do you know the difference between Full Lace Wigs and Lace Front Wigs?
When shopping around for wigs you will run into a lot of options, such as full lace wigs versus lace front wigs, and it can seem overwhelming. There are many colors, styles, textures, and hair materials to consider. Many decisions will be based on personal preferences, but before you head to the store, ask yourself these key questions.
- How often will you wear the wig? Everyday or occasionally?
- How physically active are you during the day?
- Do you like human hair or synthetic hair?
- Will you “work” on the hair? Such as dyeing, curling, crimping, etc?
- How much time can you devote to taking care of your hair in the morning?
The difference between human hair and synthetic hair is easy to understand. And you already know how you want to wear your hair. So the next part to decide is between full lace wigs and front lace wigs.
Full Lace Wigs:
A full lace wig means all the hair strands are tied on a lace base cap by hand. The hair can be manipulated however you like, such as a side part, a ponytail, or in braids. These wigs tend to last longer and look more thicker than lace front wigs. But the drawback, to some people, may be that a full face wig needs to be secured with an adhesive or glue all the way around the head. Full lace wigs can be worn for days or even weeks at a time. So if you are looking for something less permanent this would not be a good option.
Lace Front Wigs:
A lace front wig has a lace base only at the front and the rest is made with hair wefts or some other material similar to a regular wig. It is secured with an adhesive or tape at the front extending from ear to ear. The rest of the wig cap is worn by combs or clips. Plus, you have elastic straps or a machine-made cap with elastic in the back. This can save a lot of time when putting it on in the morning. It is useful to people who want to wear it for a short time or occasionally. The drawback to this style is that it cannot be parted in every direction. You can only part it at the front.
